SSB Interviews concept is introduced in 1940's during First World War. It has been employed to select best fighting and Officer like talent to Indian Armed forces. The Officers who manage to qualify this interview are considered to be best Soldiers, Leaders & Citizen of India.
 They are selected based on the certain qualities like Effective Intelligence( Emotional & Social) , Mental agility and Physical toughness.  These qualities are tested  under variety of stressful operating conditions.
